Contemporary Jewellery

Soremi jewellery is one of the leading on-line galleries of contemporary jewellery. Our contemporary jewellery is designed and made by some of the finest designers in the UK, both up and coming and established. Our contemporary jewellery ranges are incredibly eclectic made from a wide array of materials from aluminium to silver, from fabric to gold and everything in between. We have an established group of resident contemporary jewellery designers who provide year round ranges of jewellery, their ranges changing continually reflecting their passions, influences and changes in fashion. In addition to these, we carefully select new ranges which we showcase for shorter period of time and show the diverse nature of the designers influence and craftsmanship. There are many high street and on-line jewellers who provide cheaper, mass produced, machine made throw away jewellery, however our ethos is placed on the production of small numbers of hand crafted jewellery by UK based contemporary jewellery designers. Contemporary jewellery to cherish, contemporary jewellery that will last!

Silver Jewellery

Whilst we showcase ranges of jewellery made with an incredibly diverse range of media, one of our strengths is in silver jewellery. The silver jewellery we have on show at our gallery is very eclectic from silver jewellery that is simple in design and would be worn on a daily basis to silver jewellery that is incredibly elaborate, carefully manipulated becoming items of silver jewellery that are real statement pieces. Silver jewellery combined with enamel is also incredibly popular at present and forms an important part of our silver jewellery ranges at the present time.

Handmade jewellery

We have created a culture that has become incredibly based on throwing away and this is no different in the fashion world. Emphasis has moved over the last 10 years from handmade work to mass produced machine made, cheap products. More and more these are coming from the far east and china and there are always doubts over how ethical this is. We are beginning to see a shift back towards quality and handmade craftsmanship and this lies at the very core of our gallery. Handmade jewellery, designed by British jewellery designers all of whom have workshops in the UK. Because everything is handmade it also means that ultimately everything is a one off as no tow handmade pieces are every totally identical. Handmade jewellery for the person who realy values the quality of handmade and crafted jewellery.
